According to curator Yan Baitong, the planning of this exhibition lasted for 15 months, from the establishment of the Children's Global Competence academic research group at Beijing Normal University, to the curriculum development, teaching aids design, and eventually the exhibition. The primary objective is to cultivate global competence for future global citizens through project-based interdisciplinary learning and innovative art and technology education. Ms. Yan also emphasized, "Educational professionals should embody the spirit of exploration and innovation, as educational innovation is amongst their core responsibilities. Hopefully, this immersive interactive exhibition, co-created by children and artists, can serve as an innovative educational model for parents, children, teachers, and the wider community to partake in."

The exhibition, titled "One World" with a focus on ecological environment, is a collaborative endeavor involving thousands of young people and educators from China and around the world, alongside domestic and international artists. Together, they create an immersive interactive exhibition integrating technology and art, that is designed from the unique perspective of children. This project stands as an innovative and tangible example within the realms of art and education. Centered around the development of Children's Global Competence, it encourages children to contemplate the destiny of the planet through the lens of "little world citizens". The exhibition aims to assist children in envisioning and constructing their ideal and sustainable world, while imparting valuable guidance for the future development of the world through engaging and enjoyable educational methods.

This exhibition fully demonstrates the four curatorial principles: art, technology, education, and international. It features 17 large art installations, 17 classes, and 120 minutes of immersive artistic experience. A primary educational innovation of this exhibition is its curatorial approach, which is centered around the perspective of children. In addition to showcasing nearly 10,000 independently created artworks by children, the exhibition also brought together children from China and abroad to collaboratively produce 17 large-scale interactive art installations, ranging in size from 10 to 30 square meters. Artists and young artists jointly created an imaginative world of the future, reflecting the harmonious coexistence of human and the world. The incorporation of technology with art is a highlight of the exhibition. Digital new media and the most popular VR virtual reality, 3D AR technology and other interactive devices are closely integrated.
