Education in the Arts at Beijing Normal University has had a robust history of centuries, holding a unique status, a rich past, and an outstanding academic atmosphere. Founded in 2002, the School of Arts and Communication is the first higher education institution in China that unites all the disciplines of the arts, art, and communications, and academics and creative work. The School of Arts and Communication at Beijing Normal University has the country’s first “Center for Postdoctoral Research in Art” and the first top-level doctoral sites in art. SAC is committed to the school motto of “Aspiring to the Way, Rooted in Virtue, Based on Humaneness, and Exploring in Art”, and strives to cultivate students specialized in artistic creation and arts education who are equally capable in creative expression and research, well-versed in the humanities and the arts, and equipped with both knowledges about their own contry and a global outlook.
